Driving License Category A2
The A2 category of driving license permits you to operate motorcycles without sidecars with an engine power of 35 kW. The power/weight ratio of the motorcycle cannot exceed 0.2 kW/kg.
This driving license was created to permit you to get your small motorcycle driving licence early, and then move on to the A2 licence with more engine power.
Scooters and motorcycles
Driving license category A2 is the second level of a motorcycle driving license. It allows you to drive mopeds and small motorcycles up to 50cc. This class permits you to gradually increase the power of your vehicle and fantasize about larger engines. The test is more challenging and requires more understanding.
The category A2 driver’s license is valid until the age of 24. It can be used in conjunction with the category A1 car driving licence or as part a provisional driver’s license. If you are over 24 years old a full category B driving licence is required to drive motorcycles with a power output of more than 35 kW.
You can get a group A1 driving license at the age of 16 (in Denmark and Malta, 15 and in Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Italy, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia, 14). When you reach the age of 16, you must take the motorbike test in the category A2. You need to pass the test before reaching the age of 18. After two years, you can move to category A.
After passing the test in the category A2 you are allowed to drive a motorbike with or without a sidecar, and vehicles on three wheels with a power range of up to 35 kW. These vehicles must have a weight/power of no greater than 0.02 kW/kg, and cannot be directly derived from a vehicle with twice the maximum power.
If you have completed a two-part moped test or motorcycle test in a lower category since 1st July 1996, then you are able to skip the theory test and only take the practical exam. You can ride a small moped or scooter that has L plates or obtain the new AM licence that will allow you to ride up to 50cc bikes with a top speed of 45mph. The AM licence is only valid if you’ve passed the theory test and have completed nine hours of training at a driving academy.
Four-wheeled vehicles
This category includes all motorized vehicles that have four wheels, Ile Kosztuje Kurs Na Prawo Jazdy with the exception of passenger cars and buses. A1 drivers can drive vehicles of this kind with a trailer weighing up to 775kg.
To operate a vehicle in this category, you need to have passed the theory test. You will need to complete 12 90-minute lessons on the basic material, and 4 90-minute lessons on the additive (category AA2). The exams in the theory require an 80% minimum score%.
If you pass the theory test, you’ll have to pass a practical driving test on private property and on roads that are public. After passing both tests, you will receive an application for your driving license. This request must be presented to the local authority three years after passing the practical test.
After you pass your driving test, it’s possible to start driving vehicles that fall in the category of A2. In certain countries, if you hold a full A1 license for two years, there is no requirement to pass an additional test to get an A2 driving licence which permits you to drive motorcycles with up to 35 kW. This is a reason to gain experience operating less powerful two-wheel vehicles before making the move to more powerful machines.
If you have a driver’s licence in category A2, you are able to use a tricycle so long as it has the capacity of 125cc, and a maximum power output of 11 kW. This category was prior to the A licence. Drivers who had a full category A licence before 19th January 2013 were allowed to use mopeds, and they were able to keep that right.

This category includes vehicles equipped with motors that are specifically designed to be used on the roads for transport of passengers or goods. They must have at least 2 or 3 wheels that are in contact with ground and a driver’s seat or saddle and a motor able to achieve speeds of 20 miles per hour or more. These vehicles are usually equipped with a steering wheel as well as brakes. They are also able to be steered in a straight line and can be driven in reverse. In certain instances the hoods of these vehicles can be opened. This term was traditionally used for trucks (vans minivans, minivans, panel, pickups, sport utility vehicles) and buses that can carry at least 16 passengers. A slightly different definition is employed by a separate federal requirement that governs uniform standards for licensing of drivers of commercial vehicles. This definition excludes vehicles with a weight of 26,001 pounds or more.
The category A2 driving licence can be used to drive a motorized cycle, moped or motorcycle. This type of license is only valid if the cylinder volume and power of the motor do not exceed the 125 cubic centimeters or 15 Kilowatts, respectively. It is also possible to use it to drive tricycles with motors. The minimum age for this license class is 16 years old. Physically disabled people may also be able to ride motor tricycles in category prawo jazdy a1 or A.
Some people decide to get an operator’s license. This is applicable to vehicles with up to 8 seats and a maximum weight of 3,500kg. Driver’s licenses allow them to tow trailers that weigh up to 750kg MAM. They can also operate a tractor or construction equipment with a trailer up to 3,500kg MAM.
NHTSA must ensure that its guidelines are up-to-date as the designs of various kinds of three-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicles continue to change. Manufacturers importers, manufacturers and import experts often require agency interpretations of proper classification of their vehicles. In the end, NHTSA has developed a set of guidelines to guide the classification of these vehicles. These guidelines include:
Motor vehicles that have trailers
The category A2 is comprised of motorized vehicles with trailers. These are not pulled by drivers, but are pulled by larger vehicles such as cars. This category includes, for example a tractor towing trailers, or smaller trucks designed to transport loads, such as those used by plumbers or painters to transport equipment and other supplies to the work site. The maximum allowed mass (MAM) for this class, is 8,250kg.
To drive a vehicle in this category, you must have completed the theory test for category prawo jazdy a1 or obtained a driving licence by direct entry. You may also need to pass a driving test, based on the kind of vehicle you plan to drive.
The licence you receive for category A2 is valid for three years from the date on which you take your theory test. To keep it valid, you must renew it prior to the expiration date.
You can also get a driving licence for MięDzynarodowe Prawo Jazdy other vehicles that have special requirements. You require a specific licence to drive a big vehicle (category C) and you have to know the special regulations for the transport of dangerous items.
The code 96 is added to your category B of your driving licence when you pass both the theory and practical test, but your vehicle or trailer do not qualify for a category C licence. The code 96 will be added to your driving licence category B if you have passed both the practical and theoretical tests however your trailer or vehicle do not qualify for a Category C licence.
You must hold a driving license for category B at least for two years, and you must pass both a theory as well as a practical test. To be certified you must also have taken a special course of instruction and received additional training. This course is referred to as the driver’s training course.
